Terms and Conditions
1. Service description
DBMaster is an application designed to help technical users, developers, administrators, and authorized people connect to, query, and administer databases from compatible devices.
The application may allow features such as saving connections, browsing databases, viewing tables, running SQL queries, editing records, creating structures, visualizing relationships, exporting information, and using premium features depending on the contracted plan.
2. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using DBMaster, you declare that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy. Privacy Policy.
3. Authorized use
You must use DBMaster only with databases, servers, accounts, and systems for which you have sufficient authorization. The user is responsible for ensuring they have legal, technical, and administrative permissions before connecting to any server or database.
You must not use DBMaster to access, modify, extract, delete, alter, or damage third-party information without authorization.
4. User responsibility
The user is responsible for:
- The accuracy of the credentials, hosts, ports, SSH keys, and connection data configured.
- The SQL queries executed within their databases.
- Changes made to tables, records, structures, views, procedures, or functions.
- Exports generated from the application.
- The physical and logical protection of their device.
- Having appropriate backups before executing sensitive operations.
5. Connections, credentials, and local data
DBMaster allows saving database connections on the user device to make later access easier. These connections may include information such as host, port, user, password, SSL configuration, SSH data, and private key paths.
The user accepts that they are responsible for keeping their device protected through screen lock, password, encryption, biometrics, or other available security measures.
6. Database operations
DBMaster may execute operations that modify data or database structures, including inserts, updates, deletes, table creation or alteration, relationships, and other objects.
Every operation executed by the user is performed under their responsibility. DBMaster is not responsible for data loss, configuration errors, incorrect queries, accidental deletion of information, unwanted structural changes, or damages resulting from use of the application.
7. Backup recommendation
Before executing destructive queries, modifying structures, deleting records, altering tables, or performing critical actions, we recommend creating backups of the corresponding database.
8. User account
Some DBMaster features require an account. The user must provide truthful information and keep their access credentials confidential.
The user is responsible for all activity performed from their account, unless unauthorized access not attributable to user negligence is proven.
9. Plans, purchases, and subscriptions
DBMaster may offer free plans, subscriptions, in-app purchases, or capacity upgrades. Available features may vary depending on the active plan.
Purchases made from Android are processed through Google Play Billing. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund conditions may depend on Google Play rules and the user country.
DBMaster may modify, add, or remove plans and features, respecting as much as possible the benefits already acquired during the current period of an active subscription.
10. Usage limits
Each plan may include limits on connections, saved queries, exports, premium features, performance tests, SSH tunneling, or other capabilities. These limits may change as the application evolves.
Abusive, fraudulent, automated, or terms-violating use may result in restrictions, suspension, or account cancellation.
11. Premium features
Some features may be available only for specific plans, such as advanced exports, performance tools, SSH tunnels, more connections or queries, among others.
Premium feature availability depends on the active plan, purchase validation, and the technical capabilities of the device or operating system.
12. Service availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep DBMaster working properly. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, total absence of errors, or compatibility with all servers, engines, versions, configurations, or networks.
Some connections may fail because of incorrect credentials, closed ports, firewall restrictions, insufficient permissions, certificates, server configuration, local network, VPN, DNS, mDNS, SSH tunnel, or other factors external to DBMaster.
13. Engines and compatibility
DBMaster may support engines such as MySQL and SQL Server, and could incorporate other engines in the future. Compatibility may vary depending on engine version, user permissions, server configuration, and specific features of each database.
14. Intellectual property
DBMaster, its name, design, interface, code, brand, texts, structure, and visual elements belong to their respective holders. No ownership right over the application is granted to the user, except the limited right of use according to these terms.
15. Prohibited conduct
The user must not:
- Use DBMaster to access systems without authorization.
- Attempt to breach, modify, decompile, clone, or distribute the application without permission.
- Use the application for illegal, abusive, or harmful activities.
- Share third-party credentials without authorization.
- Interfere with DBMaster infrastructure, services, or security mechanisms.
- Bypass or manipulate plan, purchase, or subscription restrictions.
16. Limitation of liability
DBMaster is provided as a support tool for database administration. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be responsible for indirect damages, data loss, lost profits, business interruption, query errors, incorrect configurations, unauthorized access resulting from user negligence, or any consequence generated by misuse of the application.
